ARGENTINA The city at the far end of the world attracts a lot of tourists.
Ushuaia is a small town in the far south of Argentina. It is the most southern city in the world, and functions as the exit point for 30-40 cruise boats crossing the Drake passage on their way to Antarctica.
It is a small, strange little town, with a lot of tourists. Beautiful nature surrounds the city for those who have time to stay and explore. In the town there is various cafes, museums, shops and colorful streets to visit. The most popular sight is the office where you can get your passport stamped from “the end of the world”.

Ushuaia is a small mountain town in southern Argentina.
The city attracts ski tourists in their winter time from May until September. And a lot of Antarctica tourists in the summer time from November until March.
The architecture is very diverse..
With a lot of colorful houses. Like this market.
With this touristy thing outside.
And these colorful houses higher up in the city.
I did’nt find the city very beautiful at first.
And the main street was under construction when I was there.
But from certain angles, Ushuaia has its charm.
If you look up, there is a lot of nice looking buildings.
With an alpine look.
And surprisingly there is a lot of wall art.
That I really like.
Even the sad ones.
And the ones made by kids.
And the ones for travellers. Because this is a travellers town.
Ushuaia is an exit point for people going to Antarctica. People also go there just to say they have been at «the End of the world» or in Spanish «el fin del mundo».
You can even get a stamp in your passport as a proof you have been to the end of the world.
At the tourist office.
And of course people come to this region for penguins.
Which are to be found every where in the town.
To me it was strange to see the resemblance to Norwegian nature, with the same flowers and freshness in the air.
It is not a must, but a fun place to visit if you are traveling in the region.
